Surakxit Ghar-Resilient Home constructed earthquake resistant homes in Rasuwa

30 units of Resilient Homes were distributed to Nessing one of the village at Rasuwa district which is also one of the most earthquake affected districts. Almost 95% houses were destroyed in Nessing, Rasuwa.
Travelling around 10 hours by jeep and then almost 5-6 hours walking leads to the village. Shilshila Acharya, Head of programs in HCI travelled to Rasuwa after earthquake. She shared, “Families are residing in the shelter of tarpaulins. Almost entire family members live in a small area where they even do not have warm clothes to wear in winters books/copies to study.”
Pradip Khatiwada, National Coordinator of National Volunteering Program led the team of National Volunteers, local community volunteers to build the 30 Resilient Homes. Shakti Maski Magar, one of the National volunteer is all responsible to build the model home at Nessing, Rasuwa.
